Bitcoin Hard Fork “eCash”: BTC Holders to Receive ECX 1:1 as Drivechain Goes Live
Paul Sztorc’s eCash fork credits every BTC held in a self-custodial wallet with an equal amount of ECX without touching the original coins. The chain activates BIP-300/301 sidechains — Sztorc’s decade-long bet on scaling Bitcoin. Alpha went live on August 23; the permanent mainnet targets block 973,728, around October 31.
